Boston Green Tourism (BGT) is dedicated to improving the environmental performance of hotels and related organizations in Greater Boston and beyond. We help hotels reduce their use of energy, water, waste and toxins; use greener transportation; offer their guests a more environmentally-friendly dining experience; and market their facilities as green.
CONN-NAHRO is the Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). Our mission is to advocate for and support public housing authorities in their efforts to provide affordable, decent, safe, sanitary and drug free housing and to preserve Connecticut's public housing stock for future generations. We seek to advance industry knowledge and raise professional standards through professional development and staff training and through networking opportunities. In partnership with local organizations and through our relationship as a NAHRO chapter, we are committed to advocating for policy and legislation that supports, preserves and creates public and affordable housing in Connecticut communities and nationally support the development and preservation of low-income and public housing.
The Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials (MassNAHRO) is a membership association of local housing authorities, community development agencies and housing and redevelopment officials. Its purpose is to be the leading housing and community development advocate for the provision and preservation of adequate and affordable housing for those with low and moderate incomes, and to enhance the professional development and effectiveness of MassNAHRO members.
The Massachusetts Lodging Association is a trade association representing and promoting the lodging industry in Massachusetts. We have more than 400 active property members, which include hotels, motels, resorts, inns and bed and breakfasts, comprising more than 35,000 rooms. (See Where to Stay) MLA membership includes more than 200 companies that supply products and services to the lodging industry. (See Products & Services Guide) In addition, more than 15 colleges and universities that have hospitality programs are members, as well as a number of corporate members that represent companies which own or manage properties.
LeadingAge Connecticut is a membership organization representing over 130 not-for-profit mission driven provider organizations serving elderly and disabled individuals across the continuum of care, including nursing homes, residential care homes, housing for the elderly, continuing care retirement communities, adult day centers, home care agencies and assisted living.
LeadingAge Massachusetts, formerly MassAging, is the only organization representing the full continuum of mission-driven, not-for-profit providers of health care, housing, and services for older persons in Massachusetts. Members of LeadingAge Massachusetts provide housing and services to more than 25,000 older persons in the Commonwealth each year.
LeadingAge New Jersey is the statewide association of not-for-profit senior care organizations and is dedicated to advancing quality aging services in New Jersey through advocacy, education and fellowship. Together with our partner, LeadingAge, we advance policies, promote practices and conduct research that supports, enables and empowers people to live fully as they age.
The Massachusetts Assisted Living Facilities Association (Mass-ALFA) is a non-profit association dedicated to professionally operated assisted living residences in Massachusetts that provide housing and services for individuals with varied needs and income levels. Established in 1990 as a state affiliate of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA), Mass-ALFA has grown to hundreds of members including assisted living providers and associated professionals. Mass-ALFA serves as the voice of assisted living in Massachusetts, providing information and education, and advocating on behalf of our members and the seniors they serve. Mass-ALFA promotes a model of care which treats all residents with dignity, provides privacy and encourages independence and freedom of choice.
Business Partner LeadingAge Virgingia (formerly VANHA) is a statewide organization of not-for-profit retirement housing communities, assisted living, nurising homes, continuing care retirement communities, and adult day care service providers. Facilities are sponsored by a variety of religious, fraternal, public, and private organizations dedicated to providing quality care and services to Virginia's seniors.
